The Select program is open to all registered EGSA players (current season) who are interested in continuing to improve their softball skills beyond the REC season. The Select Program is not All-Stars and does not guarantee placement on the All-star team.
Select has two seasons: Spring - (January 1st and runs through March 31st) and Fall- (August 20th- December 15th). Teams will practice on Sunday's only with possible friendly games against other leagues.
Players signed up for the current REC season can try out. Each division 8U and up will hold select tryouts and form teams based on turnout and competitiveness. Players will play for two EGSA teams at the same time, one REC and one Select. Not every player trying out will make a roster.
